The client's brief was for a swimming pool of a particular size, with a fire feature and a jacuzzi incorporated within. It requested a large patio, a dining area, and an outdoor TV.

The site was generous in size, and the design objective was to create zones to complement entertainment and parties, as well as consider the homeowner's daily use. 

The pool has an upper and lower level. The upper area, designed for daily use, gives access to the jacuzzi and upper sun terrace with loungers. It further accommodates the dining and TV sofa-sitting area, all directly accessible from the living accommodations at the back of the property.  The lower zone of the pool and garden is open and wide for entertainment with a fire pit, sofa-sitting, and the lower section of the pool. 

One of the challenges was the large slope of the site, and the zones of use had to be incorporated into it. The design was developed by first modeling the land relief. Secondly, the highlight brief was the pool structure, and it was important that, although being a focal point, it did not obstruct the mid-access and the circulation on the site.
